One of my favorite pastimes is compiling travel suggestions for friends planning a trip to one of my favorite cities. I’ve forwarded my London list probably a dozen times. (Email me if you want it!) I made a fantastic guide for a family with teenage kids passing through Geneva (skip the museums and book a UN tour instead), though I’m still working on my Paris recommendations since Daniel Rose’s Spring closed (RIP). And my friends who are lucky enough to have planned a trip to Ibiza know I meticulously curate suggestions for them so they will love the island as much as I do.

Now, you can see some of my best local tips for Geneva and Ibiza–as well as other local experts’ tips for 200 destinations worldwide–on Google’s new travel web-based travel app, Touring Bird. Developed by Google’s Area 120, an incubator for experimental projects, the app allows you to explore and book over 75,000 tours and activities from the world’s top providers as well as access tips from local experts who have lived in or traveled extensively in each destination. It’s basically my dream travel app, especially since it integrates with Google Maps–which I’ve found is the best way to keep track of my favorite spots as well as places I want to try around the world.
